The Lexington Eagle Band received the Second Place ranking out of five Class 3A bands at the Blinn Marching Festival held in Brenham.
The band was only one vote out of First Place in the three judge panel.
Brandon D was named the 3A Outstanding Soloist for the contest for his baritone solo.
All elements- winds, percussion, guard and drum major all performed well.
The band travels to Gatesville next weekend and performs in their invitational festival at 1:00.
The following Saturday, the band will perform in Giddings for the Region UIL Marching Contest.
They take the field at 4:15 for competition.
