LISD Parents and Community - There were 447 responses to the calendar survey shared before the Christmas holidays. This is a considerably large number of respondents and we appreciate all who participated. Overall, 91% of respondents favor the current calendar or the current calendar with minor adjustments to the January schedule.
The LISD Board has approved the attached calendar for the 2026-2027 school year. The calendar is almost identical to our current 2025-2026 calendar, but with adjustments in January and August. You will notice there are no school days on Fridays in January. School starts the second week of August rather than the first, and the last day of school is the Thursday before Memorial Day as usual.
