NOTICE OF TAX RATIFICATION ELECTION
To the Registered Voters of Lexington Independent School District:
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of Lexington Independent School District has ordered an election to be held on August 25, 2018 for the purpose of conducting a tax rate ratification election.
At the Election, the following proposition shall be submitted to the qualified voters of the District in accordance with law:
“Approving the ad valorem tax rate of $1.30 per $100 valuation in the Lexington ISD for the current year, a rate that is $0.0877 higher per $100 valuation than the rollback tax rate, for the purpose of Maintenance and Operation.”
Early voting by personal appearance shall take place on the dates and during the hours required by law, beginning on August 8, 2018 and ending August 21, 2018 at the following hours and location:
August 8, August 9 and August 10, 2018 from 1:00-6:00 p.m., located at LISD Administration Building, 8731 N. Highway 77, Lexington, TX
August 13, 2018 from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, LISD Administration Building, 8731 N Highway 77, Lexington, TX
August 13, 2018 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, at the Lexington Elementary School, 222 5th St., Lexington, TX
August 14, 2018 from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, at the LISD Administration Building, 8731 N Highway 77, Lexington, TX
August 14, 2018 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, at the APK Gym Concession Stand

A los votantes registrados del distrito escolar independiente de Lexington:
Aviso por este medio es debido a que la Junta de Síndicos de distrito escolar independiente de Lexington ha ordenado una elección que se celebrará el 25 de agosto de 2018 con el fin de llevar a cabo una elección de ratificación de tasa de impuesto.
En la elección, la siguiente proposición se someterá a los electores calificados del distrito de conformidad con la ley:
"APROBAR UNA TASA IM POSITIVA AD VALOREM (DE ACUERDO AL VALOR) DE $1.30 POR CADA $100 DEL VALOR TASADO EN EL DISTRITO ESCOLAR INDEPENDIENTE DE LEXINGTON PARA EL AÑO EN CURSO, UNA TASA QUE ES $0.0877 MAS ALTA POR $100 DEL VALOR TASADO QUE LA TASA DE IMPUESTOS PARA EL PROPOSITO DE MANTENIMIENTO Y OPERACION DEL DISTRITO ESCOLAR. ''
La votación anticipada por comparecencia personal tendrá lugar en las fechas y horas requeridas por la ley, a partir del 8 de agosto de 2018 y hasta el 21 de agosto de 2018 en las siguientes horas y lugar:
